Our Commitment
Twin Cities Luxembourg American Society (“TCLAS”) is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.
What We Do
We take the following measures to support accessibility:
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks throughout the site
- Provide text alternatives for images and media
- Ensure sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
- Support keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
- Design responsive layouts that work across devices and screen sizes
- Respect user preferences for reduced motion
- Label all form fields and provide clear error messages
- Use the
langattribute to identify Lëtzebuergesch and French text for screen readers
Known Limitations
While we work to maintain accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
- Third-party content: Some embedded content from external services (event calendars, payment forms) may not fully meet WCAG standards.
- PDF documents: Older documents may not be fully accessible. Contact us if you need an alternative format.
